who we are

The Music Makers began twenty-three years ago when a group of musical friends wanted to sing together. Our founding musical director was the well-known accompanist Christopher Ross who died tragically young in 2005 of leukaemia.

Following three-year stints with the talented MDs Nicholas Collon and Peter Asprey, we are now delighted to be working with Hilary Campbell. Our repertoire embraces the music of seven centuries from Byrd to Britten, Tallis to Tippett, Sweelinck to Swingle, Ramsey to Rutter taking in madrigals, popular music and folk arrangements.

Recent concerts include Teddington, Barnes, Bosham, the Brighton Festival, Upottery, Hambleden, Wimbledon and Putney.
